Kayaking

We spent yesterday afternoon on Washington "Pond" (it's actually three miles long! That's Maine measurements for ya). My brother, sister-n-law, Seamus, Ella, and Grandpa (me dear ole Da) goofed around on the shoreline whilst the Nephew and I slipped into the cool, clear water in kayaks aptly named the "Otter" and the "Loon." I was in the Loon.... no comments please.

This "pond" was picture perfect - lined with the quintessential pine, birch and boulder that shout "New England!"

And now a word from our sponsor:

"Holidays and vacations can help to balance activity with contemplation, haste with more natural rhythms, noise with the heralding silence of peace."
- Pope John Paul II
